The IT Network Manager at Edgewood Tahoe Resort is responsible for overseeing the resort’s network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity, security, and performance across all systems. This role involves managing wired and wireless networks, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing IT solutions that enhance guest and staff experience. The ideal candidate will be proactive, service-oriented, and experienced in managing complex IT networks in a hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for network-related issues across the resort, including guest Wi-Fi, POS systems, smart room technology, and office operations.
- Design, implement, and maintain secure and high-performance network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and Wi-Fi networks.
- Assist in Server infrastructure management, performance monitoring, Operating Systems upgrades and troubleshooting.
- Establish and maintain user procedures and hardware familiarization for all systems.
- Monitor network performance and security to prevent downtime, breaches, or inefficiencies.
- Administer Office 365, connection to global VPN and other communication tools.
- Manage switches configuration, wired, wireless, data and voice networking, high availability, and resource management.
- Provide direct guest support and quality support to function rooms and conference services.
- Configure and maintain firewalls, routers, switches, and other network devices.
- Provide leadership in planning and implementation of projects for computer operations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team and business.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- At least 5 years of experience in network administration, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are preferred.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, and security best practices.
- Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills and a team player with high energy levels to work with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to safely lift, move, and stack items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Able to perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
