Position Summary:
Provides exceptional service to all guests by assisting them in a friendly, efficient, courteous and professional manner. Responsible for operating Edgewood Tahoe shuttle vehicles to transport personnel, guests, and equipment as directed by the Assistant Hotel Managers and Valet Supervisor. Provides efficient driving services on predefined routes. This position will require availability to work varied shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays. This individual will exhibit excellence in cultivating the guest experience and practice of the Edgewood vision.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safe operation of the shuttle vehicle at all times, following traffic laws, and company policies.
- Greet passengers in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent customer service and assistance.
- Address passenger complaints or concerns in a calm and professional manner, ensuring a positive experience.
- Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, including help with luggage or other personal items, as needed.
- Maintains communication with Valet and Bell desk as necessary.
- Conduct routine inspections before and after shift, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and fuel levels
- Maintains vehicle in clean condition at all times.
- Communicate effectively at all times, with customers as well as all levels of employees.
- Review and comprehend maps and other all necessary documentation.
- Load and unload luggage from shuttle bus as necessary.
- Assist with special events, group transportation, or chartered services as required.
- Comply with local, state, and federal regulations related to transportation and vehicle operation.
- Follow all company procedures and safety guidelines, including the use of seat belts, adherence to speed limits, and other operational protocols.
Qualifications / Special Skills:
- Two years’ experience at a Hotel / Resort preferred.
- Guest service background preferred.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills needed.
- Ability to prepare, organize, and report data on and generated by computer.
- Ability to sit for extended periods and operate a shuttle vehicle.
- Available to work varied shifts when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
- Ability to lift or assist with the lifting of luggage or other items as needed.
