Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper with QuickBooks experience to manage and maintain accurate financial records for our organization. The ideal candidate will handle day-to-day accounting tasks, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and support the business's financial health.
Responsibilities:
- Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments
- QuickBooks Management: Enter transactions, generate reports, and reconcile accounts using QuickBooks software
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage invoicing, process payments, and track receivables
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Payroll Support: Assist in processing payroll and maintaining payroll records
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including balance sheets and income statements
- Expense Management: Track and categorize business expenses
- Tax Preparation: Assist with tax filings and coordinate with external accountants
- Compliance: Ensure records comply with legal and regulatory standards
- Budget Monitoring: Help monitor budgets and provide variance analysis
Experience Requirements:
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not required)
- Experience: 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar role
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks is required ( certification a plus )along with experience in other accounting software (e.g., Xero, FreshBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
- Certification: Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation (a plus)
