What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Marketing Manager position at Edlong Flavor Solutions?
SUMMARY
The Product Marketing Manager’s primary responsibility is to deliver on the Sales Enablement goals in our Strategic Commercial Triangle. The deliverables for the Product Marketing Manager consist of New Product Development Opportunities, Market Sizing and Share Growth, Edlong’s Right to Win and Value Gains, Customer Events, and Flavor Collections. The Product Manager will work with the Product Line Manager from R&D on identifying and communicating to the commercial organization the value propositions for each of our key flavors and technologies. They will also work with the Sales Operations Manager on product positioning, customer product targeting, customer events, and ensuring the Voice of Sales is understood. The product marketing manager will launch and track KPIs against marketing efforts directed at generating Sales Enablement tools, product collections, and customer events.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Enablement
- Serve as the main point of contact from marketing for our Sales Operations Manager & Product Line Manager.
- Ensure the sales team has and knows how to access and use Sales Enablement tools for new product launches, Flavor collections, and Customer events.
- Assist with coordinating and executing targeted account-based marketing (ABM) efforts in partnership with our demand generation agency.
- Ensure sales remains informed and aligned on marketing efforts including campaigns, launches, and events.
Product Line Management
- Ensure the product line is reflective of our customers' requirements and market trends and is kept up to date as customers’ needs change over time.
- Identify gaps in the current product offering along with opportunities for innovation and growth.
- Help in developing the product roadmap from inception to commercialization.
- Lead cross-functional New Product Innovation Team.
Travel
- 15-20% travel required visiting customers, working with the sales organization, and attending events.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- A college degree in Marketing or a related field required.
- Experience in flavor industry preferred. Experience working in a technical environment with an understanding of how the relevance of flavor chemistry and food science impacts the sale is highly desirable.
- 3-5 years of experience in a B2B marketing role required, preferably with experience providing marketing support for inside sales and in-the-field sales teams.
- Must have exceptional English writing and grammar skills with proven experience writing in a B2B Marketing setting.
- Must be proficient using Microsoft Office required, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience using Salesforce and Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot) strongly preferred; experience using other CRM and email marketing platforms is also acceptable.
- Experience using prospecting and intelligence tools like ZoomInfo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator preferred.
