Roles & Responsibilities
- Set up and Grind utilizing surface grinders in a manner that is safe, producing quality product and meeting production expectations.
- Work with Quality to manufacture consistent product.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Communicate any concerns or issues related to production of parts, safety and quality to supervisor.
· Work effectively with peers and management in a team-oriented environment, assist/train other employees as required and see projects through to completion.
- Handle machines, inspection equipment, and parts in a manner that will not cause damage or change product integrity.
· Select, dress and mount grinding wheels on machines, according to specifications, using hand tools, applying knowledge of abrasives, and grinding procedures.
· Inspect, feel, and measure work pieces to ensure that surfaces and dimensions meet specifications.
Skills and Attributes
- Ability to properly interpret drawings, work instructions and in-process inspection plans.
- Knowledge of GD&T.
- Minimum 3 years of experience using CNC and Manual Surface Grinders.
- Knowledge to use measuring tools (Micrometers, Calipers, Indicators, Height gages, etc.).
- Experience in working with various material types and tolerances to .0002"
Education and Experience
High School or Associates Degree
Requirements
· Computer literacy, Microsoft office
· High School or Associates Degree
· Five or more years of related manufacturing experience
· Must be US Person with a permanent residence. A US person is a US Citizen or green card holder.
