Job Summary:
The Survey CAD Technician assists in the analysis of boundary and topographic surveys.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares deed sketches.
- Performs daily processing of survey field crew data.
- Prepares maps as directed by and RPLS.
- Prepares metes and bounds descriptions.
- General understanding of survey drawings
- General understanding of survey data and topo points
- Make corrections to the drawings as requested by the senior staff.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
- The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).
- Efficient use of time and resources to provide quality design solutions and accurate project data.
Work Environment:
- Work predominantly operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.
Education, certification and experience:
- High School Degree
- 2-5 years of CAD drafting experience
- 2 to 5 years experience utilizing AutoCAD.

- The team member is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
- May require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
- The team member may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus when using graphic design software.
