NURSING FULL-TIME TENURE-TRACK FACULTY
SALARY: $85,958.16 - $87,367.71

DESCRIPTION: Edmonds College is seeking Full-Time Tenure-Track Faculty for our Nursing department. This position is enabled by the Our Colleges, Our Future Act of 2021 to guarantee equitable access and educational success for all, particularly for students from communities of color and low-income communities. The college seeks faculty who demonstrate enthusiasm for learning, are able to adapt to a variety of teaching situations, can employ student-centered approaches and instructional technology effectively, and who work collaboratively with students, staff, and others in a campus climate that promotes cultural diversity, equity, inclusion, and student learning and success.
As a Nursing Faculty Member, you will be responsible for teaching and providing leadership in various nursing assistant and nursing courses. In this role, you will be responsible for developing an inclusive and equitable curriculum, preparing teaching materials, developing and assessing learning outcomes to evaluate student work, assigning grades, maintaining required records, academic advising, and consulting with students. Other responsibilities include: department head duties; participating in achieving the college¿s mission and goals; upholding the college¿s values; college governance via department and division work; committee assignments; required professional development and college in-service activities (including employee orientation and college compliance training); personal and program evaluation and attendance at industry and partnership meetings. The teaching assignment may include early-morning, late-afternoon, evening, weekend, or online classes. Instruction modes may be online, face-to-face classroom, skills lab, and clinical instruction as well simulation training for students. This is a tenure-track position reporting to the Director of Nursing (DoN) and the Dean of Health and Human Services (HHS) and has an anticipated start date in September 2025; and will have a 9-month service period.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master¿s degree in nursing OR a related field is preferred. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required with concurrent enrollment in a master¿s degree program. All degrees must be from a nationally accredited program.
- Current unencumbered RN Licensure in Washington State or ability to obtain WA state license by date of hire.
- Three years of recent clinical experience required. .
- Evidence of or potential for college-level teaching experience in a nursing program is desired.
- Experience facilitating simulations is desired.

COMPENSATION:
The salary is based on the current faculty salary schedule; placement is based on education. The current range is $85,958.16 - $87,367.71 annually for a 172-day appointment, with contractually guided increases to $104,266.14 annually. The college provides an excellent benefits package which includes medical, dental, life insurance, and a retirement plan.
NOTE: In addition to the annual salary amount determined by the salary placement on the full-time salary schedule, this Nursing Educator position is eligible to receive up to a 25% annual stipend, contingent upon continued allocation of Nursing Educator state funding. Hiring of this position is contingent upon available funding as determined by the College President.
