What are the responsibilities and job description for the UNDERSLAB CREW LEADER position at EDMONSON ELECTRIC LLC?
Job Summary:
- Installation of underground conduit to power islands, floor outlets, etc.
- Installation of electrical encased grounds for TUG installation
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Ensuring Underslab helper is learning proper installation techniques
- Ensuring helper is learning most efficient process.
- Ensuring helper learns to properly measure all UG’s per plan and relate that to the field.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Scaling and reading prints for proper installation of underground PVC conduit.
- Installing conduits at proper depth, proper measurements as the plan dictates.
- Ensuring that PVC conduit is properly secured, so that conduit does not move while other trades are doing their work.
- Returning prepped concrete slabs to their original state. (e.g. repairing slab plastic if necessary to remove for underground installation)
- Properly installing UFER (concrete encased ground) to NEC applicable codes.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Accuracy with measurements
- Willingness to get dirty, as most slabs are in early stages during the UG process.
- Ability to scale prints and properly read prints
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds at times.
- Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders.
- Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
- Must be able to use hand and power tools for extended periods of time.
- Must have clean driving record.
