Job Description
As a Quality Control Technician at Edmund Optics, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our optical products. You will be responsible for performing precise measurements to verify optical profiles using industry standard techniques and equipment.
The successful candidate will have experience with QA Lab equipment, including its applications for measuring specific products and parameters. They will also be well-versed in inspection and measurement techniques, optical drawing interpretation, and First Article Inspection (FAI) document review and process.
This is a Night Shift position, and the successful candidate will be required to work flexible hours. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform precise measurements to verify optical profiles using industry standard techniques and equipment
- Verify coating performance using appropriate methods and tools
- Provide support as the acting lead for QC personnel when the Supervisor is unavailable
- Operation of lab and inspection equipment
- Inspection and measurement techniques
- Optical drawing interpretation
- First Article Inspection (FAI) document review and process
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related science preferred but not required
- Previous experience with SAP or similar ERP system
- Strong commitment to maintaining accurate and honest Quality Records in compliance with industry standards
- US Citizenship or permanent residency required
