Job Description: As an Educational Mental Health Specialist, you will play a critical role in helping students overcome social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. You will work individually or in small groups to diagnose and treat mental health issues, communicating with teachers and parents to develop effective support plans.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing and treating students with mental health issues
- Communicating with teachers and parents to determine effective support plans
- Developing individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborating with administrators to assess mental health interventions
Requirements:
- Masters degree from a NASP-accredited university
- Active state-level licensure and/or certification
- Experience working in schools or with children preferred but not required
