About the Position
The Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide targeted psychiatric care while screening, identifying, and monitoring co-morbid medical problems. This role requires a strong understanding of mental health principles and therapeutic models, as well as experience in assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, implementing, and evaluating treatment plans for individuals with mental illness.
Requirements
- Master of Science degree in Nursing required
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin
- Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Psychiatric/Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist or Nurse Practitioner or possession of a State waiver of equivalency
- Current license as an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber by the State of Wisconsin
