Peabody-Burns Elementary School is a PreK-5 facility located at 506 Elm in Peabody and Peabody-Burns Jr/Sr High School is a 6-12 facility located at 810 North Sycamore in Peabody, Kansas. USD 398 is committed to educational excellence and strives to meet the needs of its students. Peabody is located 15 miles northeast of Newton, Kansas on highway 50. We are approximately 50 miles from Emporia and 35 miles from Wichita.

Qualified Individuals Should Possess The Following Credentials/qualities
- Hold a current and appropriate Kansas teaching license or be able to obtain and receive the appropriate initial teaching license.
- Promote a classroom environment that is conductive to learning, innovative and student centered.
- Help advance CTE and Vo-tech classes.
- Work with students as to post-secondary aspirations
- Promote high standards for student performance, positive peer interactions and appropriate social behavior.
- Work cooperatively with other school personnel and parents/guardians
- Adhere to USD 398 Board of Education approved policies and regulations
- Be flexible and be able to perform other duties as deemed appropriate by the Building Principal
- Maintain and establish effective communication skills with all stakeholders.
