About the Opportunity
Our global client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer to join the Global Automation Procurement team in Seattle. If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoy working on the front lines of supply chain operations—this is your chance to make a real impact.
In this role, you’ll manage the procurement and inventory of critical materials and components—supporting manufacturing, engineering, and deployment teams working with cutting-edge robotics technology.
What You’ll Do
✅ Source and purchase materials, including electro-mechanical assemblies, electronic components, PCBAs, and hardware
✅ Plan material requirements and maintain optimal inventory levels using ERP systems
✅ Monitor and communicate supply chain risks; develop and execute mitigation strategies
✅ Track open purchase orders, manage delivery timelines, and resolve any issues proactively
✅ Use SQL and Excel to analyze procurement data and support decision-making
✅ Collaborate with Planning, Engineering, and Global Commodity Management teams
✅ Lead process improvements for procurement operations
✅ Support supplier relationship management, returns, and non-conformance resolution
✅ Contribute to supplier scorecards and quarterly business reviews
What We’re Looking For
🧠 Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Transportation, or Operations
- 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles in a manufacturing environment
- Strong math, logic, and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Excel
- Conceptual understanding of systems and configuration management
