Description
ESC has an exciting opportunity for an Estimator / Quoter to support out client who is a small but rapidly growing wire harness and cable assembly manufacturer with over 60 years in business and exciting new ownership! Key Responsibilities :
Quotation & Estimation :
Prepare quotes for military and commercial projects from existing customers and new prospects.
Develop expertise in U.S. military quoting databases.
Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and wire diagrams for accurate quoting.
Vendor & Cost Management :
Communicate with vendors to secure the best pricing and delivery times.
Utilize the M1 ERP system to develop quotes, request vendor pricing, and track parts costs.
Maintain accurate purchase order costs and update pricing as needed.
Customer & Technical Communication :
Work closely with customers' technical representatives to clarify requirements.
Provide accurate and timely quotes to ensure customer satisfaction.
Maintain a continuous improvement mindset, identifying efficiencies in the quoting process.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine estimation methods.
Requirements :
Education & Experience :
Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mathematics, or a related field (preferred).
2 years of experience in manufacturing or customer service (preferred).
Experience in wire harness assembly (a plus).
Bilingual in Spanish / English (a plus).
Ability to lift 25 lbs. or more as needed.
Skills & Qualifications :
Strong math skills and keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Office Suite.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects with a sense of urgency.
Work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
