Our client, a commercial property and multi-family restoration company, is seeking to add a Senior HR Generalist to their team in Milwaukee, WI. This is a direct hire position that will pay $75K-$100K on salary (depending on relevant experience) and will include a full benefits package of health/dental/vision insurance, PTO, and a 401k match. You will work 1st shift hours Monday – Friday and sit onsite in the Milwaukee Office. This position will report to the Director of Human Resources.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment: Overseeing the applicant screening process, interviewing, and recruiting job applicants.
Onboarding: Organizing and managing new employee orientation and training programs.
Benefits: Administering benefit packages, handling worker compensation claims (OSHA 300s), and answering benefit questions from new and existing employees.
HR Policies: Helping to set company policy for employee behavior and expectations.
Payroll: Helping review and update employee payroll hours, processing payroll, and researching and resolving any payroll related discrepancies.
Professional development: Coordinating professional development opportunities for employees.
Compliance: Ensuring compliance with employment laws, including documentation and reporting.
Employee relations: Working with operations to resolve employee relations issues, investigating, counseling, and assisting in resolving disputes.
Guidance: Providing guidance on employment related issues such as ADA, FMLA, FLSA, harassment, discrimination, and diversity.
Special Projects: The ability to be flexible and help out with other business tasks that might now be HR related.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of Human Resources experience performing a variety of HR related tasks including payroll, benefits, workers comp, and recruiting.
- College degree in Human Resources and certification in PHR or SPHR preferred.
- Experience using Paylocity or another human capital management (HCM) and payroll system.
- Prefer a bilingual candidate who can speak Spanish fluently.
