SUMMARY
Provides support to the Director of Deposit Operations, and all branch staff by processing complex account requests, reviewing legal documentation and handling other account processing duties. Has a thorough understanding of complex account types, documentation, regulatory requirements and account opening process. Provides the highest quality experience for internal (ECU team) and external members. Follows up on complex account inquiries from branch staff, third parties and members. Works with members on required documentation for account opening or maintenance, and coordinates account opening and funding. Maintains confidentiality at all times. Answers calls from the ECU team for processing and inquiries. Models the credit union mission, vision and values in day to day activities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and process complex account documents following ECU’s internal controls policies and guidelines.
Interacts with members and non-members to effectively communicate the necessary requirements in order to open the requested account.
Manage the centralized account processing queue.
Process monthly CD and IRA disbursal transactions.
Assists in maintaining the integrity of the member operations reference and resource library.
Works as an effective collaborator with Senior Management, Lending, Quality Assurance and Branch Operations departments on a regular basis.
Process and answer questions on trust accounts, representative payee, guardianship, non-profit association and dba accounts.
Knowledge of documents associated with Trusts, IRA’s, POA’s, DBA’s and Estates. Ability to read and interpret information contained in these documents; understand how each document is executed and how inter processes will support these documents.
Assist with internal audits of IRA and HSA accounts.
Process all lien, levies, and garnishment requests in a timely manner.
Oversee and process non-member deposit account requests.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains ongoing communication with management, informing them of all pertinent problems, irregularities, new developments, changes and other pertinent information within their area of responsibility.
Works in coordination with other department personnel in a “team effort” to provide prompt member service.
Follows effective process to handle employee complex account questions, new account opening and maintenance.
Follows all safety and security rules and regulations.
Keeps all information and transactions regarding credit union operations and members are kept confidential.
Ensure processes and implementation are following state and federal regulations.
Maintains the security of the work area and keeps it neat and organized in appearance.
Develops and maintains a working knowledge of ECU’s electronic data processing systems.
Cross-sells credit union products and services.
Participates in continuing education opportunities as approve by Senior Leadership.
Communicates professionally with all individuals including, fellow employees, members, management, board members and third-party vendors.
Protects and respects credit union equipment and supplies.
Attends meetings as required.
Adheres to ECU’s Employee Personnel Policy Handbook.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Works to improve processes on a continuous basis.
