The role : The Accounting, Finance, and Compliance team of the Education Development Center (EDC)’s Administration and Finance Division is responsible for providing accounting services, financial planning and analysis, and advising in compliance guidance through the organization.
The Accounting and Finance Department has a part-time opening for a Senior Administrative Assistant, reporting to the Controller, in Waltham, Massachusetts. This job requires being in the office 3-4 times each week and must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours a week.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The person in this position is expected to communicate clearly and courteously; to develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, collaborators, co-workers, field sites, and funders; and to work respectfully with EDC colleagues. The job requires adherence to EDC policies & procedures.
You will :
- Provide administrative support to the department, troubleshooting a variety of problems to ensure efficiency and smooth coordination
- Independently perform complex assignments requiring knowledge of content area and administrative systems
- Manage tasks of intermediate scope and complexity, such as :
Document preparation, photocopying, cataloguing, and electronic data handling
Qualifications
This position requires educational achievement; excellent writing skills; demonstrable initiative, creativity, and flexibility; ability to work independently and effectively in groups; and strong interpersonal & organizational skills.

This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range (full-time equivalent) of approximately $50,000 – $55,000. Salary offers are made based on market analysis and internal equity.
