Salary: This is a full-time twelve (12) month position at 232 days with a salary range of $43,512 to $52,828. This is a grant-funded position and continued employment is contingent upon grant renewal.
Job Summary (Primary Purpose)
Offer operational and office assistance to the Special Education teams in the Special Programs Department.
Required Qualifications (Experience & Education/Certificates)
High School Diploma OR GED
Five years of experience in client relations and clerical work
Five years of experience in program/project administration
Preferred Qualifications (Experience & Education/Certificates)
Public school experience
Special education experience
Knowledge/Skills
Ability to maintain electronic files
Ability to organize and prioritize workflow
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to disseminate information in a clear and concise manner to internal and external clients
Proficient skills in application software for PC, including Microsoft 365
Major Job Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
This position does not have any direct reports, but may provide general direction to others. There may be a need to train new staff members.
Budget Responsibilities
General office equipment, Windows computer and peripherals, and other equipment as requirements change.

Major Job Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Serve as a representative of ESC Region 13, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other members of the educational community and with the public
- Work with Education Specialists, Program Managers, Coordinators, and Program Assistants to serve the internal and external clients associated with this position and to accomplish the goals of ESC Region 13
- Serve as the first point of contact for clients that need assistance through the SPED main phone line and email
- Prepare for and facilitate in person and virtual workshops and conferences, including:
- Securing venue, serving as the point of contact for vendors, working with hotel/venue staff to ensure successful event, working with client (TEA, other presenters) to prepare for presentations
- Assist clients with registration, discount codes, and troubleshooting E-campus and Zoom events
- Upload and maintain listerves for various special education teams, gets approvals for adding new members, and sends instructions to new members regarding listserv best practices and protocols
- Understand and support team members on internal systems and computer applications
- Assist with internal tickets and requests (IT Helpdesk/ maintenance/ CX desk)
- Perform other duties as assigned
