Description
The Payroll and Human Resources Specialist functions as a member of the Human Resources department of Education Success Network, assisting with the day-to-day efficient operation of the Human Resource office. This position will be responsible for payroll processing and assist with recruitment, new hire processing, benefits administration, HRIS maintenance, as well as other HR duties as needed.
Job Responsibilities :
- Executes timely and accurate processing of payroll and related reporting.
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions or referring them to other HR team members as appropriate.
- Assists with recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of new employees.
- Maintains electronic personnel and payroll files.
- Conducts employee record audits, as requested, to ensure accuracy.
- Assists with preparation and distribution of employee announcements, updates, and notices.
- Travels to different sites to assist with employee questions and / or documentation gathering.
- Maintains DMV driver approval list and required documents.
- Generates reports from HRIS, as requested or needed.
- Assists with processing of terminations.
- Responds to employment verification from outside sources.
- Troubleshoots routine employee benefit issues with carriers and / or broker.
- Maintains confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive information.
- Perform other Human Resource tasks and projects, as requested.
