The CRO will promote the credit union by attending trade shows, school district events, and community events in the Central Valley and occasionally travel to the Central Coast. The Community Relations Officer (CRO) is responsible for outreach activities within the communities that we serve. The CRO will promote the credit union by attending trade shows, school district events, and community events in the Central Valley and occasionally travel to the Central Coast. This position is responsible for the planning and execution of financial wellness activities will give presentations and hold question and answer sessions.
Responsibilities of the position:
- Provides financial wellness presentations to a wide range of student and adult populations
- Develops and maintains a rapport with the appropriate business and educational communities
- Promotes new business by identifying specific target groups within the field of membership
- Ensures that personal contact is made with members and prospective members, as necessary
- Continuously monitors outside vendors and adapts materials to fit the needs of EECU members, school districts, classrooms and potential members
- Develops relationships with community representatives and organizations
- Provide support and assistance to branch management with school event participation
- Researches school locations within a specified area of influence and develops a calendar of visitations to various school sites and affiliated locations.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from the public, managers and employees
- Bachelor’s Degree or five years of experience in financial institution sales, public relations related activities or teaching
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with others
