General Responsibilities
Under the direction of an ECE Manager, the Services Coordinator will coordinate and oversee direct services for Early Care and Education programs.
Salary:
The full annual salary range is $61,235.20 - $74,505.60. Offers are made at the entry level of the range.
Assignment:
This position will be full-time, year-round. The position also requires a criminal history check and fingerprint check through the Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) as well as a health exam, TB test, and proof of MMR immunization or exemption prior to starting.
Essential Functions/Other Functions
Essential Functions:
- Supervise, evaluate and train staff.
- Provide a variety of job-embedded professional learning experiences for staff including reflective supervision, reflective practice, training, coaching and mentoring.
- Provide support & guidance to Family Support Specialists using the principles of home visiting & case management.
- Provide support and guidance to staff around SMART goal setting with families.
- Conduct staff observations and provide feedback on a continuous on-going basis.
- Use monthly reports to monitor Family Support deliverables.
- Provide support and guidance on monthly Community Connect family engagement activities, socializations and policy council events.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with families, staff and community partners.
- Work collaboratively with other program leaders to meet the needs of the individual child with concern for age, interest, disabilities, special talents, cultural backgrounds and individual styles.
- Assist with outreach, recruitment and enrollment activities.
- Maintain strong professional and personal boundaries.
- Demonstrate a commitment to on-going professional learning and growth.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree and one year of experience providing administrative support to an educational or social service program.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and database software.
- Understanding of Early Head Start, ECEAP and child care performance standards and regulations.
- Experience working with low-income or at-risk populations.
- nowledge of ChildPlus.
- Knowledge of Parents as Teachers curriculum.
- Knowledge of HOVRS, Mobility Mentoring, and Motivational Interviewing.
- Bilingual/Bicultural.
- Travel throughout the ESD service region.
- Physical environment may include office settings, family homes, child care and preschool programs or community work sites.
- Extended or flexible hours as necessary.
- Successful completion of a criminal history check and fingerprint check through the Department of Children, Youth, and Families.
- Valid certification in CPR and first-aid, HIV/Blood Borne Pathogens training, and current food handler's card. (Can complete after hire)
- Tuberculosis test to meet state health requirements.
