General Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Director of Purchasing & Facilities, The Maintenance Assistant I will assist with general maintenance and repair issues.
Salary:
$17.66-$21.49 per hour - offers are made at the beginning of this range.
Assignment:
This is a temporary position starting at the beginning of June through July. Possibility to extend through August based on project workload. 40 hrs/week, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
Essential Functions/Other Functions
Essential Functions:
- Provide maintenance, repairs and property management services.
- Respond, in a timely manner to help desk requests and to requests from the Director of Purchasing & Facilities.
- Move furniture and other materials.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience working in facility or equipment maintenance for a commercial or school building.
- Commercial/business facility.
- Frequently standing, walking on carpet, asphalt, tile, cement, rubber mats, linoleum surfaces.
- Routinely crouching, kneeling, crawling, stooping, climbing, grasping, pushing, pulling, carrying, bending, and climbing ladders.
- Work may require use of machines, tools and/or hazardous chemicals.
- Ability to move and lift up to 60 lbs easily without injury to self or the equipment.
- Successful completion of a criminal history and fingerprint check through the Washington State Patrol and FBI.
Salary : $18 - $21
