General Responsibilities

Reporting directly to an Assistant Fiscal Officer III the Business Manager designs, maintains, and reviews the annual budget for the school district(s).
Assignment:
This position is full-time, year-round with remote job location optional. This position will otherwise be based at the ESD 112 Vancouver campus.First Review of Applications March 20th 2025 -
Essential Functions/Other Functions

Essential Functions:
- Plan, monitor, analyze and provide fiscal projections for district revenue and expense budgets.
- Prepare district budget, state and federal grants, Request for Proposal (RFP) for services, financial reports, E-rate calculation, election resolutions, and reports for the Board of Directors and Superintendent.
- Manage and audit all districts funds, including but not limited to accounts payable, receivables, payroll, state and personnel reporting, food service reports and monthly Treasurer's report.
- Manage internal audits and serve as a liaison between the school district and the state auditor's office.
- Provide fiscal procedure and policy guidance to staff.
- Assist with district long range planning. Plan for bond and levy elections.
- Oversee capital projects.
- Provide support for contract negotiations.
- Provide business manager services to multiple school districts or a single school district with more than 1,000 Student FTE.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications & Skills

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Two years of business office experience working in the areas of accounting and state financial reporting.
- Two years of experience working with automated accounting systems.
- Experience in a regional education service agency, public school district or governmental agency accounting.
- Experience with the WSIPC fiscal system.

- Extended or flexible hours as necessary.
- Successful completion of a criminal history and fingerprint check through the Washington State Patrol and FBI.

Salary : $94,203 - $114,629
