Software Developer Subject Matter Expert

Job Summary:

ESI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Developer - Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the go-to expert in your technical domain, leading the design, development, and implementation of innovative software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive best practices, provide technical leadership, and ensure high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the technical expert and lead on software development projects.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and maintainable software solutions.
• Provide deep subject matter expertise in [insert relevant domain: e.g., cloud computing, cybersecurity, data analytics, etc.].
• Mentor and guide junior developers and team members.
• Participate in architecture and design reviews, ensuring alignment with business requirements and technology standards.
• Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Contribute to documentation, including design specifications, user guides, and release notes.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  
• 7 years of professional software development experience. 
• Proven expertise in [ e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, .NET, etc.].
• Experience with modern development frameworks and tools (e.g., React, Angular, Node.js, Spring, Django).
• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. IRS MBI Clearance REQUIRED.
