If these words resonate with you, we should talk.Job OverviewPosition Schedule : Full-TimeThe Partnership Accounting area focuses on maximizing the value to each partner type at Edward Jones (General Partners, Subordinated Limited Partners, Limited Partners, Service Partners and Joint Venture Service Partners) by providing both proactive and reactive support, guidance and education.As a Partnership Consultant and key member of the Partnership Accounting area, you will be responsible for providing world class service to the firm's partners. Additionally, you will play an integral role in informing how we communicate with and educate partners.The Partnership Consultant will : Support escalated and complex situations regarding any of the partner types which may include delivering sensitive messages and guidance about : Partner earningsRetirement savings optionsTax planningEligibility for offeringsHolding appointments with FAs and their CPAs to help FAs make informed decisions regarding the opportunity to become Service Partners or Joint Venture partners.Use complex problem-solving and critical thinking skills to resolve situationsStrive to continually build and deepen their business acumen / knowledge of each of the partner types in order to be a subject matter expert.Create education and communication material to raise the level of understanding of each partner type. Partnership Consultants will create and host webinars.Draw information from multiple sources to identify, analyze, and resolve complex needs.Keep up to date on changes in tax laws, partnership agreements, processes or information necessary to do the job. Identify trends, insights and needs of partners, proposing solutions and implementing changes.Act as a resource for other associates.Act as a trainer for new associates by building and maintaining the training material and topical resources.Utilize in-depth knowledge of department topics to research questions which vary in detail and level of complexity.Edward Jones' compensation and benefits package includes medical and prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits (such as accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness), short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage. A Business degree is acceptable. CPA or international country equivalent (CA, CGA, or CMA) or working towards designation is a plus. 2-6 years of relevant work experience is required (Customer service, accounting, financial services industry, or Edward Jones experience). Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Demonstrates expertise in world class service attributes, including professionalism, reaching agreement and customization, and spirit of caring. Must be able to respond to callers with appropriate tone, organized thoughts, and confidence.Must be able to respond to written correspondence in a clear, succinct manner using correct grammar, spelling and format.Capable of assisting the leader in managing workflow and can act in a leadership capacity in the absence of a leaderMust be able to multi-task and follow-up appropriately to take issues to resolution.
