POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Associate Director for Grants and Research will be key in supporting the institution's research initiatives by developing high-quality grant proposals and research-related publications. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with faculty, staff, and multi-disciplinary teams to enhance the competitiveness of research projects and secure critical funding from a wide range of sources, including federal agencies and private foundations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Grant Writing and Editing: Provide writing and editing support for multi-disciplinary, multi-partner research grants, ensuring clarity, organization, and alignment with sponsor guidelines.
- Project Coordination: Assist with scheduling, coordinating, and managing proposal development meetings, ensuring timely submissions.
- Research and Data Analysis: Conduct qualitative data collection and analysis to support grant development, helping to improve proposal quality and success rates.
- Partnership Development: Support efforts to build partnerships with external collaborators, both academic and industry, to strengthen grant applications.
- Communications Support: Assist with the development of communication materials related to grant activities and special research initiatives.
- Professional Development: This position provides opportunities for professional growth in research administration, grant development, and strategic communications.
