Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring a safe work environment on construction sites, with a strong focus on trade-specific safety protocols. Additionally, the position leads orientation sessions for new employees to ensure they understand and comply with all site-specific safety expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily operations to ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Conduct regular jobsite inspections and audits, identifying hazards and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with foremen and trade leads to enforce safe work practices.
- Assist in developing and updating site-specific safety plans (SSSP).
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, near misses, inspections, and safety meetings.
- Support incident investigations and follow-up reporting.
- Conduct comprehensive safety orientations for all new employees.
- Provide trade-specific safety training as needed, including toolbox talks and refresher sessions.
- Maintain up-to-date orientation materials and documentation.
- Ensure all orientation attendees understand site rules, emergency procedures, and PPE requirements.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in commercial construction safety or related field.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices.
- Experience working with multiple trades on active construction sites.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- OSHA 30 Certification (required).
- First Aid/CPR Certification (preferred).
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office and safety management software.
