About the Role :
Reporting to the Vice President of Market Development and Customer Acquisition, the Director of E-Commerce will define and execute the e-commerce vision, product direction, and web marketing strategy for a best-in-class consumer experience. You will translate data into actionable initiatives to grow the business and take a hands-on, proactive approach to deliver strategies to optimize acquisition, conversion, retention, and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate is a dynamic leader with the ability to drive growth, optimize user experience, and work cross-functionally to achieve business goals.
You will…
- Orchestrate all aspects of a strategic e-commerce plan to drive revenue growth, improve customer experience and increase market share.
- Combine existing expertise in sales, marketing, product, technology, and management to deliver a superior brand and shopping experience for all customers.
- Manage the digital user experience, including site navigation, and content development in conjunction with the Marketing team, checkout funnel and promotional campaigns.
- Develop, own, and maintain a comprehensive on-site and off-site merchandising plan in conjunction with Finance requirements.
- Responsibility for the customer journey : design, own, and optimize focusing on merchandising imperatives, personalization, and improving customer lifetime value.
- Develop, monitor, and analyze comprehensive reporting, including key metrics such as traffic conversion, average order value, and customer lifetime value to measure success, identify areas for improvement, and provide recommendations to optimize performance.
- Develop and execute a testing strategy for customer-facing applications to improve the shopping and booking experience; define requirements, oversee test implementation, and analyze results.
- Partner with the Product and Analytics teams to refine event tracking across our marketing systems to identify customer segmentation opportunities.
- Lead the cross-departmental collaboration across Product, Marketing, Analytics, Technology, Sales, Operations and Customer Service to optimize digital channels.
- Author and maintain requirements documentation that details the business objectives, priority, scope, level of effort, timeline for execution and expected return for all web and mobile projects and enhancements.
- Monitor competitor activity to identify new opportunities for growth or threats to the business.
- Establish and maintain e-commerce best practices for our organization.
- Provide thought leadership, innovation, and process optimization initiatives such as implementing e-commerce software and other industry best practices.
- Provide insights and partner with technology stakeholders to optimize UX / UI based on traffic, search, and sales data as well as customer research and surveys.
- Develop business plan / KPIs for e-commerce. Monitors KPI’s and progress towards team and company OKRs.
- Analyzes and assesses the effectiveness of all existing marketing tools and systems relative to current needs based on available technologies and key competitors in the marketplace.
