About the Role:
In conjunction with the CFO, the accountant manages the day-to-day accounting functions, assisting with various ongoing and ad-hoc finance projects, and other financial activities. This role is responsible for ensuring that business transactions are recorded and maintained in the accounting records in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) standards and federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate for this role is detail-oriented, has an eye for process improvement, and embraces new technology.
Responsibilities:
- Provide financial, administrative and clerical support directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Accurately record transactions into the general ledger
- Prepare month/quarter/year-end functions in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Maintain bank account and card reconciliations and perform daily cash management activities.
- Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable invoices, collections, and payments.
- Review and complete all reimbursement requests.
- Develop processes to streamline accounting workflows and improve the accuracy of financial data.

- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
- Prepare financial schedules and reconciliations for monthly reporting.
- Provide Ad Hoc reporting as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 4 years of accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field strongly desired
- Working knowledge of Sage/Timberline accounting software
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of and adherence to GAAP
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent follow up, documentation, and communication skills
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat preferred
- Must be reliable and dependable

Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
