π§ͺ About the Role
We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager β CAPEX to lead high-value capital investment projects for one of our pharmaceutical or biotech clients.
You will drive project delivery from feasibility through commissioning and handover, managing teams, vendors, and contractors in a regulated GMP environment. This is a client-facing consulting role requiring strong project leadership, technical coordination, and excellent communication skills.
𧳠Some travel is expected depending on the project site β flexibility and availability to be on-site when needed is essential.
π§ Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of CAPEX projects (facility buildouts, equipment installation, utilities, etc.)
- Manage scope, budget, schedule, and risk across all phases of the project lifecycle
- Coordinate EPCM contractors, vendors, engineering teams, QA, validation, and internal stakeholders
- Supervise installation, construction progress, and ensure alignment with GMP and safety requirements
- Prepare and maintain project documentation (project charters, timelines, reporting dashboards)
- Drive resolution of technical and logistical challenges across multiple workstreams
- Travel as required to client or vendor sites to ensure project success and stakeholder alignment
π― What Weβre Looking For
- 8 years of experience managing CAPEX projects in Life Sciences (pharma, biotech, medtech)
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and interface with client leadership
- Strong understanding of GMP regulations, technical project delivery, and commissioning processes
- Skilled in project controls (scheduling, budgeting, risk management)
- Proficiency with tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar
- Bachelorβs or Masterβs degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
- PMP certification is a plus
- Willingness to travel based on project needs (typically within the U.S.)
