With three facilities strategically located throughout North America, EFS Plastics Inc. is a successful, growing recycling company that recovers plastic from residential recycling programs. Your detergent bottles, milk jugs and plastic bags can all end up at EFS, where we turn them into plastic resin pellets that can be used to make new products. Our fully automated process diverts mixed plastics from ending up in landfills, not only reducing waste but also conserving valuable resources and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

This plastic waste is converted into high-quality, clean, reprocessed resins used by plastics processors to manufacture a variety of products, from storage and recycling bins to construction materials and consumer goods.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and self-driven Production Operator responsible for operating production equipment on mostly automated processing lines. The candidate will make necessary adjustments or minor repairs to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality production. They will drive a forklift, unload trailers, clean up the raw material space, and run key processing equipment. 

We are currently looking for multiple shifts so please indicate which shifts you are willing to work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand and follow all established policies, procedures, and recognized practices 
• Operate and monitor fully automated production and wash lines, ensuring product quality and process efficiency 
• Perform regular quality checks and assist with mechanical repairs or maintenance as needed 
• Maintain work area to acceptable safety and housekeeping standards 
• Complete and file required documentation in an orderly and timely manner 
• Communicate with production, shipping, management and incoming shift teams to address any equipment or operational issues 
• Assist with the training of new operators 
• Participate in continuous quality improvement projects and related activities 

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent 
• Reliable, consistent, and punctual attendance with a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary 
• Strong work ethics, integrity, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions 
• Preferred: Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and processes; forklift, health & safety, and first aid certifications. 

· $1,250 signing/retention bonus over first year
