Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical/Surgical team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, support medical staff, and ensure a safe and effective environment for patients undergoing surgical procedures. This role requires strong clinical skills, the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, and a commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the medical team promptly.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and post-operative care.
- Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in a Medical/Surgical unit is preferred but not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with diverse patient populations.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is a plus.
