Job Overview:
The Landscape Maintenance Project Manager oversees maintenance crews performing tasks such as mowing, pruning, trimming, seasonal flower installation, and general landscaping upkeep. This role ensures that jobs sold by the Director of Business Development and the maintenance sales team are completed on time, within budgeted hours, and to quality standards. The Project Manager plays a critical role in scheduling, resource allocation, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Crew Management:
- Supervise, schedule, and manage landscape maintenance crews.
- Ensure teams are trained, equipped, and prepared for daily tasks.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor quality and provide support.
- Job Execution:
- Take over sold maintenance jobs from the sales team and coordinate their execution.
- Plan and allocate resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budgeted hours.
- Resolve on-site challenges and communicate effectively with crews and management.
- Budget and Time Management:
- Track job progress to ensure it meets or stays below sold hours and budget.
- Identify inefficiencies and implement strategies to improve crew productivity.
- Report job outcomes and variances to the Director of Operations.
- Customer Relations:
- Act as a point of contact for clients to address concerns and ensure satisfaction.
- Conduct follow-ups to confirm quality and completion of services.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of job schedules, hours worked, and materials used.
- Collaborate with the sales team and operations department to ensure seamless handoffs.
- Monitor equipment use and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance or a related field.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in scheduling software and time-tracking tools.
- Knowledge of horticulture, landscape maintenance practices, and equipment operation.
Key Metrics:
- Job Completion: Percentage of jobs completed within sold and scheduled hours.
- Crew Productivity: Productivity metrics based on hours worked versus tasks completed.
- Customer Satisfaction: Positive feedback and retention rates.
- Budget Adherence: Consistent completion of jobs within budgeted hours and resources.
- Safety Compliance: Adherence to safety standards and protocols with minimal incidents.
Reporting Schedule:
- Weekly: Job progress updates, crew performance, and operational challenges.
- Monthly: Metrics on job completion, productivity, and customer feedback.
- Quarterly: Strategic reviews of division performance and improvement plans.
- Annually: Comprehensive evaluation of project outcomes, team performance, and process improvements.
Compensation:
- Pay $60,000 - $70,000 plus bonuses and incentives
