Casual Program Assistant - Recovery for Life - Enjoy a rewarding and challenging position with a nonprofit organization that has been helping educate, train, and provide employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities since 1955. We are currently seeking applicants for a part-time program assistant to perform various routine clerical duties to support Recovery for Life operations.
Applicant must have the availability to work Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm, Wednesday from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm, and Saturdays from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties and responsibilities represent the essential functions of this job that an individual must be able to perform with or without a reasonable accommodation:
- Observe urine screens for male clients.
- Operates office machines including copiers, scanners, phone and voicemail systems, personal computers, and other standard office equipment
- Provides clerical support such as typing, filing, and completion of simple forms to assist operational staff with data entry and case management
- Manages calendars and schedules screening appointments for individuals receiving treatment
- Maintains confidentiality of physical and electronic files
- Travels to other corporate locations on occasion Performs other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE:
The following qualifications represent the training, education, certifications, licensures, and/or work experience required to perform the essential duties and responsibilities successfully:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2-3 years of clerical experience preferred
- Ability to type at least 45 words per minute
- Knowledge of office management procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Proficient with Microsoft 365 or related software
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Physical demands: Performing the duties of this job requires near visual acuity, the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds, and gross manipulation. Additional physical requirements include:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and occasional stooping
- Fine manipulation and keyboarding
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
- Must be free of tuberculosis in a communicable form
Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will primarily work in an office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal and the temperature may vary with seasonal changes.
