Job Summary

Eggs Unlimited is looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Logistics Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in managing domestic and international outbound transportation, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical, self-motivated problem solver with strong negotiation skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You excel at prioritizing tasks, adapting to shifting demands, and maintaining a sharp focus on data-driven decision-making. A strong work ethic, exceptional communication skills, and a hands-on approach are essential to success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient load scheduling and route planning to balance cost, timeliness, and carrier availability.
• Supervise real-time tracking and status updates to ensure accurate freight visibility.
• Collect and verify updates from carriers, vendors, and partners to facilitate smooth freight operations.
• Manage and guide the freight team, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of load assignments.
• Negotiate pricing, service terms, and availability with carriers to secure cost-effective and reliable shipments.
• Serve as the main point of contact for customer inquiries, ensuring timely updates on shipments and quick resolution of concerns.
• Ensure all shipping documentation is accurate, up to date, and compliant with regulations.
• Utilize logistics management software to track shipments, generate reports, and monitor key performance metrics.
• Monitor shipments to detect potential delays and take immediate corrective actions.
• Work closely with carriers and internal teams to resolve complex freight issues and escalate when needed.
• Facilitate collaboration between freight, procurement, and other departments to improve supply chain efficiency.
• Lead initiatives such as process improvements, carrier evaluations, and new customer onboarding.
• Train and mentor junior freight coordinators to enhance team capabilities.
• Identify areas for process enhancement to optimize freight operations and improve customer satisfaction.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field (preferred).
• At least 5 years of experience in freight coordination, logistics, or transportation.
• Strong skills in load planning, carrier negotiations, and problem-solving.
• Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to multitask, work independently, and ensure compliance with freight regulations.
• Comfortable with occasional overtime/weekend hours as needed.
