What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Test Reports Coordinator position at EHC?
EHC is currently looking for a Material Test Reports (MTR) Coordinator for a client located in the Southwest Houston area.
Job Purpose:
Coordinates and expedites material test reports from receiving, vessel department or suppliers to our document management system. Processes requests, resolves documentation issues, manages reports to identify priorities in acquiring material test reports, maintains computerized records: reviews production schedules and related information and confers with department supervisors to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material.
This position will take on a shared responsibility to educate, train and promote hazard recognition as a means of identifying potential threats. This position will also provide 1st responder medical care to employees as well as initiate industrial hygiene surveillance testing.
Education, training, communication with manufacturers and maintenance to their file will also be a responsibility of this role. Assistance in gathering data to complete key performance indicators and communicate findings to the appropriate business unit.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain quality documentation for all stocking mills
- Request documents needed to maintain mills in good standing on our AML
- Assist in claims processing
- Assist in issuing and tracking non-conformance and responses
- Review procedural documents for quality & safety
- Assist department manager with vendor/mill audits
- Become an internal auditor
- Support quality committee meetings
- Assist and support branches with all MTR assistance
- Assist in training employees as needed
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma and 5 years’ experience in an industrial/distribution environment minimum
- Certifications in areas of quality a plus
- Ability to train and lead large or small groups at all levels of the organization
- Liaison to ensure all corporate initiatives are carried out at all locations
- Ability to write, interpret and execute quality procedures and policies
- Intermediate to advanced skills with databases, spreadsheets, presentations and word processing software
- Excellent skills in communication both verbal and written
- Preferably bilingual: Spanish
Working Conditions:
- The worker is subject to office conditions.
- Typical work week is Monday through Friday 8am -5pm with flexibility based on need.
- Walking – Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Hours - 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
