EHM Senior Solutions is eager to partner with a new Director of Facilities Management to supervise physical plant operations at Brecon Village, Evangelical Home - Saline, and the Professional Office Building. The scope includes all buildings and grounds, utilities, energy management systems and safety/security systems in order to provide a safe, healthy, and comfortable environment for residents and staff. The individual in this position is responsible for the scheduling and supervision of maintenance and repair activities, custodial services, and contracted services, ensuring the physical operation of the communities meets budgetary and strategic objectives.

What it takes to join our team:
Required Experience:
- Education: Associate’s degree in facilities management, engineering, trades, or a related field—or a combination of relevant education and work experience—is required.
- Previous work experience: Seven to ten years of progressive responsibility in physical plant maintenance supervision is required. A minimum of three years of supervisory experience is also required.
- Prior knowledge of:
- Deep understanding of physical plant systems, including maintenance and operations.
- Poven ability to lead teams in a mission-driven environment, with strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to manage both strategic and operational functions
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with older adults, personnel and external contractors.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Previous work experience: Experience in a senior healthcare or residential setting is preferred but not required.
- Perform all duties with compassion, supporting EHM’s mission and values and collaborating with leadership across departments.
- Supports the COO and CFO in coordinating capital improvement activities, preparing project specifications, and tracking implementation to ensure alignment with approved budgets and timelines
- Prepares specifications for physical plant projects; estimates costs of equipment, materials, labor, and supplies; prepares bid specifications for projects, equipment, and contracted services; oversees site and building projects performed by outside contractors.
- Develops, implements, and supervises preventative maintenance, repairs and renovation programs for building and grounds upkeep, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, utility, and safety and security systems.
- Oversees and supervises maintenance, housekeeping and laundry teams, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
- In collaboration with the COO, CFO and Senior Executive Director, develops and manages department and capital budgets.
- Provide a safe, clean and functional environment for residents, employees and visitors by conducting regular rounds and inspections.
- Be sure compliance training is current for all team members (e.g., HIPAA, bloodborne pathogens, OSHA, MSDS, and other job-related training) to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Ensures department policies are reviewed, updated and enforced with respect to compliance with relevant federal, state and local laws, regulations, and safety standards.
- Keep confidentiality of financial and protected health information of residents in accordance with HIPAA and EHM policies.
- Maintains and upholds resident rights and equitable treatment by ensuring that department operational practices support high-quality, compassionate care.
