Location : Southern California (LA or San Diego area preferred).
Job Summary : The O&M Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment associated with various remediation systems including soil vapor extraction and groundwater pump and treatment. This role ensures the efficient and effective functioning of the systems to meet regulatory and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Operate and monitor remediation equipment and systems, including pumps, motors, valves, and control systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.
- Perform compliance sampling of remediation systems (e.g., system influent, treated effluent discharge, etc.) according to NPDES and AQMD permits.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance activities, and equipment performance.
- Collect groundwater, soil, sediment, and / or surface water samples in accordance with work plan procedures and quality control requirements.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and address any issues promptly.
- Contribute to completion of routine operation and maintenance reports.
- Participate in emergency response activities and provide support during shutdowns or outages.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
