Job Overview
As a Client Accounting Services Associate, you would be providing outstanding service to our clients through focused automation of client processes, accurate and timely issuance of financial reporting, monthly closing of client books and successful collaboration with other EHTC departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Make recommendations based on analysis of client accounting records and financial statements
- Produce financial reports and related bank and account reconciliations on a timely basis
- Continual analysis of processes and procedures to ensure that projects are being completed efficiently
- Prepare of and/or review of client’s income, sales, payroll and other tax returns as required
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
- Assist clients with various accounting, special projects and requests as needed
- Perform statistical analyses to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes, and write narrative reports explaining findings
- Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position
- Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures
- Review, investigates and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports
- Conduct studies and submit recommendations for improving the organization's accounting operation
- Collect appropriate data and prepare federal, state, and local reports and tax returns
Qualifications
Education/Licensing
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or other relevant field, from an accredited university required
- Active pursuit of CPA certification preferred
Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- One or more years of related experience and/or training preferred including general accounting and research experience
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills; ability to make decisions
- Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Teamwork oriented with a willingness to grow, a passion for living, and desire to go above and beyond
Software
- Microsoft Office Suite experience
- Knowledge of Accounting Software required (QuickBooks experience preferred)
