Job Overview
As a Client Accounting Services Senior Manager, you would be providing outstanding service to our clients through focused automation of both client and internal processes, accurate and timely issuance of financial reporting, proactive analysis of financial and business results, managing and leading professional staff, and successfully collaborating with other EHTC departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Accounting Services
- Develop and Implement Strategic Direction for both Accounting Services, Controller and CFO Service offerings
- Manage Critical Success Factors (CSFs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Conduct new potential client work evaluation, develop work proposal and present to client to ensure potential new client fits department/firm strategic direction
- Ensure proper Engagement Letter & client file set-up
- Ensure department stays current with new automation software and application of EHTC standard systems
- Select and become highly proficient with 3 General Ledger packages and select add-on automation related software
- Build profitable client engagements by moving clients and EHTC staff to fully utilize efficient technology
- Provide outstanding, proactive client service
- Automate routine, repetitive tasks with selected standard software packages
- Establish and meet client deadlines
- Provide meaningful financial reporting and analysis monthly/quarterly
- Ensure “controllership” activities are performed on monthly/quarterly rhythm
- Manage financial controls and accounting procedures
- Develop processes and procedures for serving Accounting Services clients
- Consults and successfully coordinates with the Accounting Services Director, other partners, and Tax and Assurance teammates to ensure seamless integration of services
- Minimize “manual” tasks with focus on utilizing technology both internally and with clients
- Ensure proper and full usage of EHTC GoFileRoom and Engagement systems
- Responsible for CAS Business Group profitability, client satisfaction and risk management
- Lead, manage and ensure accountability for department staff
- Build networking centers of influence and actively pursue new business development
- Generate leads, make contacts and secure new client opportunities
CFO Services
- Serve as primary direct contact for assigned clients, meeting with each client quarterly at a minimum
- Ensure full transparency over the financial performance of the company
- Provide advice on how to increase revenue and reduce costs, improve product profitability, cash flow planning, banking, insurance, and other “finance” related activities
- Assist with budgeting, strategic planning and financial projections
- Help identify and clearly communicate potential risks in a timely manner
- Propose action plans to ensure that annual financial objectives are attained
- Support the CEO with the preparation of monthly and annual financial plans
Qualifications
Education/Licensing
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, from an accredited university required
- Professional accounting designation (CMA or CPA preferred)
Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- 7 total years of experience with at least 3 of those in a Senior Financial Managerial position preferred
- Exceptional communication and relationship building skills
- Results-oriented, strategic thinker and planner
- Teamwork oriented with a willingness to grow, a passion for living, and desire to go above and beyond
Software
- Microsoft Office Suite experience
- Knowledge of Accounting Software required (QuickBooks experience preferred)
