Detailed Description

We are seeking an experienced Tableau Administrator to join our team in Peoria, IL. As a Tableau Admin, you will be responsible for managing, configuring, and supporting Tableau environments, ensuring seamless data visualization and reporting solutions for our organization. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and other departments to ensure the stability, performance, and scalability of Tableau servers and dashboards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Tableau Server and Tableau Online environments.
• Perform system monitoring and troubleshooting of Tableau servers to ensure high availability and performance.
• Manage Tableau security, user permissions, and access controls, ensuring proper data governance.
• Perform routine backups, updates, and patches to maintain system health and security.
• Collaborate with developers to optimize Tableau dashboards and data sources for better performance.
• Manage server environments, including scaling and load balancing to meet user demand.
• Provide support for Tableau users, including troubleshooting issues related to data sources, reports, and access.
• Create and manage Tableau extracts, workbooks, and views to facilitate efficient reporting.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in data visualization and Tableau usage.
• Document processes, configurations, and procedures for the Tableau environment.
• Provide training and support to end-users on Tableau features and functionalities.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Tableau Administrator, with at least 5 years of experience managing Tableau Server environments.
• Strong knowledge of Tableau architecture, security, and deployment strategies.
• Hands-on experience with Tableau Server installation, configuration, and upgrades.
• Proficient in managing Tableau user permissions, security, and data governance.
• Solid understanding of data sources, connections, and optimizations for Tableau.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation tasks.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
