Job Description
EideCom is seeking a technically proficient and solution-oriented professional with a passion for live events, cutting-edge technology, and leading people across multiple audio-visual disciplines. As a full-time Technical Director, you will lead the technical aspects of event production, working closely with production teams and clients to ensure flawless execution. Responsibilities include managing technical crew operations, overseeing the technical planning, setup, and operation of A/V and staging equipment, and troubleshooting on-site challenges to deliver high-quality event experiences.

This position reports to the Director of Event Operations, is based in Brooklyn Park, MN, and requires travel.

Please note that this is a full-time position, not a freelance opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and lead multiple technical plans and projects simultaneously
• Oversee, manage, lead, and develop a live-event technical team
• Propose, maintain, and ensure the proper use of equipment across audio, lighting, video, scenic, staging, and rigging disciplines for each projects
• Develop and sustain relationships with freelance technical staff and vendors
• Source equipment and other technical needs for each project
• Coordinate regularly scheduled calls with technical staff and production managers to align on project goals and updates
• Track and communicate milestones and project deadlines, including site visits, advance work, and logistics plans to ensure all timelines are met
• Support the production team on-site by troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring smooth event operations
• Collaborate with sales teams and clients to understand and meet their technical requirements

Education & Experience

• 5-7 years experience in a similar role in the Live Event Audio/Visual Industry
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate across multiple departments
• High proficiency in creating and communicating technical plans
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong technical expertise in live event production, including A/V, lighting, and rigging
• Ability to make decisions under pressure
• Flexible schedule, which could include working evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Employees must be able to stand, sit, or kneel for extended periods of time. Must also be able to move/lift heavy objects ranging 10-75 lbs. Clear vision and ability to use range of motion required

Salary

$110,000-$130,000, depending on experience. This is a full-time position as regular/permanent employee and includes many company-provided benefits:

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
