Title: Training Coordinator
Reports to: Vice-President of Operations
FLSA Classification: Exempt
Position Summary: The Training Coordinator is a leader within the organization in achieving the agency goals of both training and development needs. Ensures the coordination of employee training in conjunction with Directors/Managers for in-service and external opportunities, to include maintenance of training records to ensure compliance with state regulations.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Schedules and delivers established and effective CPR, First Aid, and AED training certification.
- Schedules and presents ODP Medication Administration training to all staff, to include ensuring all medication trained staff remain in compliance with state regulations.
- Develops, schedules, and introduces training presentations by internal or outside lectures, motivational speakers, etc. on a regular basis for in-service training purposes.
- Responsible for reporting training to the Directors/Managers on regular basis and report on any outstanding issues or concerns.
- Responsible for coordination of appropriate aspects of New Hire Orientation and follow-up trainings.
- Develop and implement trainings related to specific individual needs to ensure all agency staff are trained for all situations.
- Responsible for insuring that all agency staff have their required annual training hours.
- Responsible for overall training tracking system and files to ensure user friendly access.
- Responsible to support, guide, and educate staff.
- Responsible for continuing education to changes in regulatory requirements to provide the most up to date training.
- Participates in all required training.
- Responsible to identify, coordinate, and/or facilitate mental health training opportunities for staff that are specific to the job in conjunction with the Behavior Specialist.
- Performs other duties assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position will not directly supervise staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Human Services field from an accredited institution
- Minimum two years experience in a residential setting preferred
- Basic math skills to include adding, subtracting, multiplying
- Basic computer skills to include experience in Word and Excel
- Pennsylvania State Drivers License required (with clean driving record)
- Clear State Police Criminal Background Check
- A medical examination and TB test to me completed prior to start date and renewal every two years thereafter.
- A clean drug screen prior to start date
