We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our medical facility. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively manage staff, insurance companies, budgets, and medical records while fostering a positive environment for both patients and employees.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the medical office staff, including nurses and administrative personnel.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Oversee the management of insurance companies, obtaining a treatment pre-auth ,,medical records, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for authorized personnel.
- Develop and manage budgets, monitor expenditures, and implement cost-saving measures.
- Implement utilization management strategies to optimize patient care while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to improve critical care processes and patient outcomes.
- Manage scheduling for staff and patients to ensure efficient workflow within the office.
- Address patient inquiries and concerns in a professional manner, enhancing overall patient satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure the office remains compliant and competitive.
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical or dental office management role is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical billing systems and electronic health record (EHR) systems is essential.
- Experience in supervising staff in a healthcare setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of critical care practices and utilization management principles is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients, staff, and healthcare providers professionally.
