High School Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment, fostering student engagement, and promoting academic excellence. This role involves teaching various subjects, mentoring students, and contributing to their overall development. Duties

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
• Educate students in a variety of subjects while adapting teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a conducive learning environment.
• Provide mentorship and support to students, encouraging their personal and academic growth.
• Incorporate creative writing and literacy education into the curriculum to enhance students' communication skills.
• Participate in education administration tasks, including grading assignments and maintaining student records.
• Organize and oversee extracurricular activities, including sports coaching, to promote student involvement.
• Facilitate public speaking opportunities for students to build confidence and presentation skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and school initiatives.
• Engage with parents and guardians regarding student progress and school events.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; teaching certification preferred.
• Proven experience in teaching or mentoring high school students.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies.
• Excellent public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with library services and resources to support student research and learning.
• Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that respects diversity.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in lesson planning and assessment.

Pay: $41,000.00 - $81,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
