Job Description
The Material Handler position involves delivering product to all areas of production based on schedule, following standard work instructions to make repeatable delivery schedules. This role also includes completing paperwork and entering transactions into the computer system, training in Lean methods, and participating in team projects to reduce through-put time and increase productivity. Additional responsibilities include loading/unloading trucks, assisting operators with pre-staging and machine set-ups, performing cycle count inventory, replenishing point of use storage locations daily, and evaluating work center issues with materials, machines, and workloads.
Skills and Qualifications
The successful candidate will have fork truck experience, warehouse or material handling experience, and pass a color identification test. They must be able to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in English, possess good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and be able to lift 50 lb. with assistance. The job requires standing and/or walking for long periods of time, and reliable attendance is essential.
