Job Description:
EJ Famiano and Associates is searching for an outside sales representative. The company is located in Westlake Ohio and offers a base salary plus an uncapped three-tiered commission pay structure based on---existing accounts, growth within existing accounts and new business. Twice a year performance bonus.
We are a family-owned business since 1961. We work with large packaging manufacturers to sell various products such as multiwall paper bags, FIBC supersacks, plastic valve bags, stand up pouches, rollstock, FFS films and more. Our company is built on long-term customer relationships, averaging 25 years, and detail-oriented sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales representative will be given existing accounts
- Maintain and service existing long-term relationships, while prospecting new customers
- Develop a comprehensive knowledge of all product lines
- Follow-up on open orders, contact customers about repeat orders, and submit packaging spec/ details to manufacturers
- Upkeep a detailed log including open orders, order confirmations and order shipments/invoicing with supplier
- Develop and send pricing/proposals to customers
- Travel to manufacturing facilities to review packaging requirements
- Communicate with packaging engineers and operators about current packaging performance
- Manage and submit monthly travel expense reports
- Follow up on new leads and manage any customer complaints
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- 3-5 years of sales or business experience preferred, but not required. Sales and account management experience with proven sales/ profit growth preferred, but not required.
- Travel: Ability to book travel arrangements. Travel can range from 1-day trips to multiple overnight stays
- Presentation Skills: Ability to develop and present knowledge to customers with specific details regarding their packaging products.
- Influence: Ability to address issues in an open, constructive, professional manner with both customers and suppliers.
- Organization & Prioritization: Ability to independently manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously with minimal supervision and respond to customer change.
- Customer Focus: Ability to build and sustain productive customer relationships.
- Creative & Innovative Thinking: Ability to think outside the box during difficult sales; closing the deal.
- Technical: Ability to learn customer packaging applications and learn the business/ product lines. Take pride in your performance and the products we sell.
- Computer/ Software: Ability to utilize Office 365 including outlook, excel, word, PowerPoint, PDF. Also recreate open order and sales reports within excel.
