While this is a remote role, and you will not be reporting into an office on a daily or hybrid basis, we are looking for someone in the area who is able to manage our current accounts in person and develop new relationships in the area.

JOB SUMMARY:
An Account Manager oversees sales activities and develops relationships with current customers as well as sourcing and growing new accounts. Ultimately, you should be able to grow our business by building successful, long-term relationships.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and grow current accounts by building close customer relationships.
- Actively recruit, research, and win new potential accounts to the business.
- Organize local account training with product/vendor reps and support.
- Attend internal meetings and events to understand and drive the overall objectives of the region.
- Attend regional flooring vendor industry events and national sales events for E. J. Welch.
- Research and provide competitive insights to the region, both price, product and vendor assortment.
- Collaborate with regional branch and sales managers on market intelligence, local inventories, customer strategy and overall product placements.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 2-3 years' field sales experience, with flooring sales experience a plus
- Excellent written, verbal and negotiation skills, with ability to manage time and prioritize sales opportunities.
