Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Technician to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as experience in both Level I Trauma Centers and Ambulatory Surgery Centers. This role is crucial in assisting surgical teams during procedures, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures, adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Assist surgeons and other medical staff during operations by providing necessary instruments and supplies.
- Ensure all surgical instruments are accounted for before, during, and after procedures.
- Collect and manage medical records accurately, documenting all relevant information pertaining to surgeries.
- Analyze surgical procedures to improve efficiency and patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide critical care support as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the operating room environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in surgical technology.
Requirements
- Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology is essential.
- Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center or Ambulatory Surgery Center is preferred.
- Proficiency in aseptic techniques and infection control practices.
- Strong data collection skills for accurate record keeping.
