Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a hospice setting, ensuring comfort and dignity during their end-of-life journey. This role requires a strong understanding of palliative care principles and the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to support both patients and their families.
Duties
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including experience administering injections.
- Provide ostomy care and manage symptoms related to terminal illnesses.
- Offer emotional support and education to patients and families regarding end-of-life care options.
- Monitor patient conditions, documenting changes and communicating effectively with the healthcare team.
- Assist with memory care for patients experiencing cognitive decline.
- Participate in family meetings to discuss patient care goals and preferences.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practices in hospice care.
Experience
- Previous nursing experience in a hospital or Level I Trauma Center is preferred.
- Familiarity with MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments is a plus.
- Experience in ICU or similar critical care environments is beneficial.
- Knowledge of procedures such as dialyze, dermal fillers, and mammography is advantageous but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to empathize with patients and families during difficult times.
- Valid nursing license and relevant certifications are required.

Pay: $50.00 - $57.00 per hour
